Die Luft, die wir atmen, ist in Gefahr. Grund dafür ist der zunehmende globale Ausstoß an Treibhausgasen. Schadstoffe wie Kohlendioxid & Co.sind für unsere Gesundheit eine Bedrohung - und für die Umwelt. Durch die industrielle Luftverschmutzung entstehen dabei vor allem über Großstädten immer häufiger Smog-Glocken; bei besonders krasser Ausprägung droht eine "Airpocalypse". Aber es könnte noch schlimmer kommen, wenn das im Permafrost gefrorene Methan im großen Stil freigesetzt wird, das Eis der Polarkappen weiter schmilzt und so schließlich noch mehr Kohlendioxid in die Atmosphäre gelangt.
