Guiseppe Moscati liegen besonders Arme und Sterbende am Herzen. Als er eine Patientin aus dem Krankenhaus mit zu sich nach Hause nimmt, um sie dort zu pflegen, ist seine Schwester Nina alles andere als begeistert. Schnell spricht sich herum, dass Moscati auch Patienten bei sich behandelt. Die Schlangen vor seinem Haus werden täglich länger. Für seine Verlobte Elena Cajafa bleibt Moscati da kaum noch Zeit. Wird sie dennoch zu ihm halten?
