"Stranger Things 4" verhilft DIESEM Song zu Mega-Comeback

An die Spitze der Charts nach 37 Jahren? Geht, wenn der Song in einer der meist erwarteten Netflix-Staffel aller Zeiten platziert ist, perfekt passt - und natürlich auch richtig gut ist.

Diejenigen, die sich schon durch den letzten Freitag veröffentlichten ersten Teil der vierten Staffel von "Stranger Things" geguckt haben, ahnen schon, von welchem Hit die Rede ist: Genau, Kate Bushs "Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)", den Max in der der ersten Folge spielt und der in den weiteren Episoden noch an Bedeutung gewinnt.

Vom Olympiasound zum Serienhit

1985 war der Song die wichtigste Singleauskopplung von Kate Bushs fünftem Album "Hounds of Love". Auch damals wurde er durchaus beachtet, landete in den Top 30 der "Billboard's Top 100" und wurde bei MTV in Videoform gezeigt. 

2012 feierte "Running Up That Hill" ein erstes Revival mit einer Neuaufnahme, die bei der Abschlusszeremonie der Olympischen Spiele in London gespielt wurde. 

Aber kein Vergleich zum "Stranger Things"-Comeback: Nur zwei Tage nach der Veröffentlichung der neuen Folgen kletterte der 80er-Hit an die Spitze der iTunes-Charts, liegt aktuell auf Platz 4 im weltweiten Ranking der Musikstreaming-Plattform.
